Event First Aider

Lifesaver First Aid Services is a leading provider of first aid training courses, event cover, consultancy and supplies. We specialise in training, equipping and covering smaller businesses and charities.

About this role

We are looking for an enthusiastic team player to join our event services team as a bank first aider. In this role, you will provide first aid, lifesaving treatment and first aid advice to a wide range of patients in different settings. 

We strive for the highest possible level of care, delivered in accordance with current first aid practice, alongside other medical professionals.


Typical tasks will include

  •       Setting up and dismantling first aid posts alongside other team members.
  • Providing high quality first aid treatment, in accordance with current first aid practice and Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards.
  • Maintaining accurate and complete records, including treatment notes and referrals.
  • Using communication equipment, in accordance with relevant licenses and guidelines.


What we are looking for

You will need to be passionate about delivering high quality care to our patients. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and will be able to work well on your own initiative or within a team.

In particular, you will also:

  • Be in possession of, or be willing to work towards, a recognised first aid qualification, or hold a recognised exemption, approved by Lifesaver First Aid Services.
  • Understand the needs and wishes of services users of different ages, backgrounds and physical needs.
  • Be willing to regularly attend group training and refresher sessions and first aid events.
  • Be physically fit to undertake all of the procedures laid down in the current edition of the first aid manual, and in line with Lifesaver First Aid Services policies.
  • Be willing to uphold our fundamental principles, practices, policies and procedures. In particular, you will be willing to adhere fully to our health and safety, confidentiality, equality and diversity and safeguarding policies.
  • Be willing to undertake a criminal record check, through the Disclosure and Barring Service at an enhanced level.

We are keen to involve as many young people with our organisation as possible. The minimum age to apply for this role is 16 years old. Younger people aged 10-15 years old may wish to explore our support roles or our cadet first aider program.


Your commitment

  • To attend all training events, in particular the annual refreshers. Initial training for this role will be around 50 hours of compulsory training, which takes place during evenings and weekends. Credit may be given for prior learning and experience – please speak to your manager about this. 
  • To attend a minimum of 4 events per year, but more where possible.
